Life is an interesting thing.  Through twists and turns and good days and bad days…through spring fields and hot lava moments...where your entire world can burn to the ground...we change and grow.   And there are times when change and growth is more substantial at certain times than others….when the rules and knowledge of the game that is life takes you down paths that are completely new and you really learn about who you are…and you come into touch with yourself and see the true value that is there.   A value not recognized by your old life…with a structure that tried to define and limit you.  Limit in the sense that it got you to a certain point but couldn’t take you any farther.  And you recognize that the limits were based on something not in tune with your real worth or that were inconsistent with your happiness journey. The black and white seemed like it tried to protect you and keep you safe…but through experience and life a new way and new view...

 Whispers of Wonder Wet puddles on the pavement Puddles splashed By a wheel’s weight Sending drops of water Up and back down again Water droplets on my window As I gaze from my seat Cloudy skies A flock of birds Shadows against the canvas Gray clouds layered Over grayish-orange Frosting of cloud I am in the filling Of an endless cake Lights reflect among The puddles Passing lights There and gone Whispers of Wonder.

 My Brother, a Toad for a Day A stoem for Big Sisters and their Little Brothers My little brother turned into a toad one day It happened after I wished it on him After we fought in the hallway “I hope you turn into a Toad!”  I yelled at him And to my surprise it happened the next morning  Mommy went to look for him After she had called him for breakfast And he did not come I soon heard her scream Because she found a toad In my brother’s pajamas Sitting in his bed And she freaked out and handed him to me And I laughed at him What a sight he was to see! And it was funny until he peed on me Croaking, “What has happened to me?” “Did you do this to me????” “You’re so mean!”  And I set him down on the floor and said “Why little brother, why are you mad?” “Being a toad can’t be all that bad!” “Just think of all the flies you can eat “And the fields you can tromp!” “Besides, its only for a day…”  And that’s what it was And after that day My little brother did not treat ...
