Whispers of Wonder

 Whispers of Wonder

Wet puddles on the pavement

Puddles splashed

By a wheel’s weight

Sending drops of water

Up and back down again

Water droplets on my window

As I gaze from my seat

Cloudy skies

A flock of birds

Shadows against the canvas

Gray clouds layered

Over grayish-orange

Frosting of cloud

I am in the filling

Of an endless cake

Lights reflect among

The puddles

Passing lights

There and gone

Whispers of Wonder.
