My Phoenix Moment

Life is an interesting thing.  Through twists and turns and good days and bad days…through spring fields and hot lava moments...where your entire world can burn to the ground...we change and grow.

And there are times when change and growth is more substantial at certain times than others….when the rules and knowledge of the game that is life takes you down paths that are completely new and you really learn about who you are…and you come into touch with yourself and see the true value that is there.

A value not recognized by your old life…with a structure that tried to define and limit you.  Limit in the sense that it got you to a certain point but couldn’t take you any farther.  And you recognize that the limits were based on something not in tune with your real worth or that were inconsistent with your happiness journey.

The black and white seemed like it tried to protect you and keep you safe…but through experience and life a new way and new view was opened which was more true to your authentic self.

Black and white holds less meaning now…the gray becomes like a morning by the bay as the sun rises up…and the comforting fog rests on your skin…and it’s a place you feel like you are meant to be.  It is a place more accepting and comforting and where your happiness can continue to grow.

It is my phoenix moment.

Also...in the words of Nacho Libre (my second favorite movie of all time)...I echo the sentiment of Nacho when he says... “I am the gatekeeper of my own destiny, and I will have my glory day in the hot sun.”
